

In 2009, Sweigard became a certified public accountant. As an undergraduate, he was a member of the Phi Kappa Pi Business and Economics Honor Societies. Sweigard graduated from Lebanon Valley College in 2005 with a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and a minor in business administration. Prior to working at Bristol Township, Sweigard spent 12 years as an auditor at several public accounting firms where he organized and supervised financial statement audits of school districts and local governments in the Philadelphia area, in addition to consulting on administrative accounting functions. He also planned and oversaw construction of multiple district buildings and facilities, and developed five-year financial and capital plans to address the District's aging infrastructure. At Bristol Township, Sweigard oversaw all business operations of a $150M budget, and supervised the facilities, food service and transportation operations. Sweigard comes to Cheltenham after serving as the business manager at Bristol Township School District for the past five years.
